Gamers and Geeks - V6.00.2β

Hi everyone, Welcome to Gamers and Geeks. This is a gaming and technology...but we mostly play video games on a nightly business.

We organise events on a weekly basis and schedule all events on Steam where possible.

We have a VoIP server that we use to chill out and talk. We are using TeamSpeak 3 and we welcome any English native tongue user to the server. Click here to join.

We also have some game server being managed by professional staff and can be on hand within 10 mins of a incident occurring. We have servers for Counter-Strike: Source, Global Offensive (BETA) and Minecraft with servers changing depending on users.

All servers have no whitelist, so you can join at any time.

This is the exact same forum software which is used by the guys over on Bukkit and IGN forums.

Tweaks will be coming over the next while before it comes full time.

(Gamers and Geeks Guild Wars 2 Beta Weekend Special Edition)

Since the client for GW2 Beta Weekend has went live, I thought we should dedicated this week to Guild Wars 2 for the entirety of the weekend. We start with a new banner....yup....NEXT!

How to download Guild Wars 2 BETA Client.

Click to download the client (.exe) - Click here

Place it in the folder which you want it to download to. (Tip: Put it on a large drive if you can. The game is 13GB~)

Download the game by running the .exe.

If you want to pause the download, close it. When you resume, it WILL start at 0% again but that would be for how much you downloaded in this SESSION of the download. The figure that you want to be looking at is the "files remaining...". Make sure that keeps going down and down!

If you are running Windows 7 and are using Internet Explorer 9, why don't you "Drag" the icon beside gamersandgeeks.net in your address bar to your taskbar?!

When you do that, it will be a shortcut to the site! But wait, there is more :O - When you right-click on the "Gamers and Geeks" button, you will find a link to the Announcements forum, The Lounge (Off-Topic), our Twitter (@gamersandgeeks) and our Steam Group.

Important threads will be added in there, so have a look every so often
